What’s on during the Winter School Holidays on the Mornington Peninsula!

Here are some ideas to get you started these School Holidays! There is always so much happening right here on the Mornington Peninsula – there really is no need to travel too far to entertain the kids!

 

Thursday 5th July

Frankston Arts Centre“Hot Art for Cool Kids” – Art and craft workshop – 4- 12 yr old. $15 per child – using recycled materials, paper, clay, woodwork, sewing, painting and construction – let your imagination run wild.

Frankston Arts Centre – 11am and 2pm “Josephine loves to dance” – $18 – A delightfully funny tale that looks at the importance of pursuing your dreams. Based on the book by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley.

Pure Peninsula Honey – Free Family Fun Talks – 10am

The Hungry Peacock Tyabb (bookings essential) – Finger painting for kids-  11am and 12:30pm

Searoad Ferries – Kids High Tea. (Bookings essential) 2 hour return trip and high tea for children and adults as well as a chance to see the dolphins, have their face painted and play on the playground.

Friday 6th July

Sunday 8th July

Mornington Railway-  Bring the entire family for a lovely trip aboard the heritage train. On this day children are encouraged to bring their Teddy Bear (or Favorite toy) for a day out. Some of the activities lined up are:- – Certificate to children for bringing their Teddy Bear (toy) and ride the train. – Snack pack of Tiny Teddy’s – Toy Train displays – Spot the Teddy game – Teddy Bear care Hospital on site. – Town center shuttle bus connects with trains at Mornington Station.

Monday 9th July

Junior Explorers – Studio Park Langwarrin – $5 – Join the Ranger and follow the Clues to discover Studio Park’s Winter Wonders.

Mornington Hotel – Kids Disco 12 and under, $5 per child 6pm – 7.30pm

Green Olive at Red Hill – Farm tour – collect eggs, play with the chickens and pony. Starts 10am. Interest needs to be shown to Green Olive via Facebook

Tuesday 10th July

Green Olive at Red Hill – FKids make their own farm art, after foraging around the grounds make your findings into art. Bookings essential, call Green Olive to book.
